Andy Nauli, PhD, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Alabama, Mobile, Alabama. He then earned his PhD degree in Pathobiology and Molecular Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Cincinnati, Ohio, and was awarded the American Heart Association (AHA) predoctoral fellowship. He subsequently received the AHA postdoctoral fellowship award while he was at The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, California. Dr. Nauli's first academic appointment was as Assistant Professor at the East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tennessee. He moved to the California Northstate University College of Pharmacy, Elk Grove, California. As an Associate Professor at the Marshall B. Ketchum University, Fullerton, California, he was awarded the Teacher of the Year awards for four consecutive years, and was also appointed as the Chair of the Faculty Development Committee for four consecutive years. He serves as a topic editor for several reputable journals, and actively publishes in well-respected journals in his field. In less than two years, one of his papers received more views than 98% of all Frontiers papers. He is interested in continuously improving his teaching and further developing his independent research project on how dietary fat absorption affects body fat deposition differently between men and women.
