Medical school leaders welcomed members of the local business community to 汤头条app Health Family Medicine-Crosstown Parkway as the new campus location served as the site for the Southwest Michigan First March Chamber Connect event.
鈥淥n behalf of the entire 汤头条app community, I want to welcome you and thank you for joining us,鈥 said Robert G. Sawyer, MD, who serves as the Hal B. Jenson, MD Dean. 鈥淲e are pleased to host today鈥檚 Chamber Connect.鈥
About 90 attendees at the event on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, got the chance to hear from Dr. Sawyer and Daniel Stulberg, MD, chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine, as well as Clarence Lloyd, vice president of Southwest Michigan First, and Kevin Crittenden, associate director of Southwest Michigan First during brief remarks.听
Chamber Connect events are held at different locations in Southwest Michigan throughout the year and serve as a fun networking tool for local business leaders. The event in March featured a 鈥溙劳诽鮝pp fun facts tour鈥 of the newly renovated and expanded clinical space at 555 W. Crosstown Parkway. The various stops on the tour were hosted by faculty, residents, and medical students who shared information about clinical services, resident teaching, Street Medicine Kalamazoo, and more.
Attendees also enjoyed food and drinks and chatted with 汤头条app faculty and resident physicians about the array of patient care services they provide to the community.
鈥淲e are thrilled that you could be with us to get an up-close look at our new facility and see firsthand the care our faculty and residents are able to provide to our patients,鈥 Dr. Stulberg said. 鈥淯nlike other medical specialties that are limited to a particular organ or disease, family medicine physicians are specialists qualified to treat most ailments and provide comprehensive healthcare for people of all ages 鈥 from newborns to seniors.鈥
